Monoï de Tahiti is the created with two ingredients the Tiare flower (Gardenia tahitensis) and light and silky Tahitian coconut oil. Coconuts used in the preparation of Monoï de Tahiti are exclusively picked from the coral soil islands of Tahiti and her islands. The Tiare flower has a sweet and sensuous fragrance. Its essential oil is rich in alcohols, terpenic alcohol esters (methyl salicylate) well known for their soothing and purifying properties. The process of creating Monoï de Tahiti begins with Tiare buds being hand-picked the the early morning and wrapped delicately in Tiare leaves for transport to where they will undergo the next step to making Monoi de Tahiti. The flowers are then placed in pure Tahitian coconut oil to soak/macerate (this process is called "enfleurage" (a French term for flower soaking/extraction). The Tiare flowers slowly release their unique properties and legendary virtues into the coconut oil and thus a magical transformation will take place and Monoï de Tahiti will be born. According to specific maceration standards set by the decree of Appellation d'Origine, a manufacturer must adhere to the strict guidelines where a minimum of 15 Tiare flowers must be soaked into 1 litre of coconut oil for a minimum of 15 days. This is carefully monitered by modern laboratory tests to ensure the highest quality, thus remaining fully respectful fo the traditional Polynesian methods and ancient know-how.

Polynesian Lagoon Water arises in the heart of the atolls of French Polynesia,a privileged environment where the coral reefs edge turquoise blue lagoons. This resource, naturally rich in minerals and trace elements, is continually regenerated by the natural endo-upwelling phenomenon which takes place mainly along the coastlines facing the great oceans. Endo-upwelling occurs when the deep and rich waters of the ocean rise to the surface by thermal convection. It begins in the basalt substrata at a depth of 3,000 to 5,000 metres; the geothermal flow thus created is transformed in the coral reefs into an outflow of interstitial water very rich in nutrients. Polynesian Lagoon water is wonderfully unique for the skin, remineralizing, refreshy, stimulating purifying, soothing and calming.
